Introduction

NOW HIRING for the 2019 SEASON!!! The Halfway House Attendant is responsible for preparing and serving a variety food and beverages, in a time sensitive atmosphere, ensuring all Members and guests receive an exceptional world-class experience when frequenting the Halfway House. As an Attendant in the Halfway House, located between hole #9 and hole #10, you are required to provide a casual, yet professional environment.

Position

• Provide professional, timely and friendly service to Members and guest, according to the National’s set standards as stated in the Food and Beverage Manual, to guarantee an exceptional experience

• Prepare Halfway House through out the day, including but not limited to restocking condiments and work area, and preparation of mise en place, to make sure the area is presentable and to anticipate day to day traffic

• Demonstrate accurate knowledge of Halfway House food offerings, drink lists, and special menu items, as applicable, through menu explanation and food suggestions

• Perform opening and closing duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager

• Record accurate orders from members and guests, confirming all chit orders are correctly entered into the POS System, to ensure an error free and timely service

• Prepare Halfway House food offerings for Members and guest, according to the direction of the Culinary Team and The National’s set standards, to guarantee a flawless complete dining experience

• Maintain a clean and neat department always, complying with the National’s Health and Safety and the Occupational Health and Safety Act

• Perform other duties as necessary to help the team achieve success

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 1-3 years of similar experience

• 18 years of age or older

• Smart Serve Certification (prior to starting work)

• Strong communication skills, with a good working knowledge of written and spoken English

• Reliable transportation; we are not located on a transit route

• Ability to work a variety of shifts; days, evenings, weekends and holidays

• Well groomed, co-operative and outwardly friendly team player
